Genuine rice paper shades and rectilinear decorative framework reveals a direct lineage from Shoji screens and traditional lanterns of paper, iron, and wood. Distinctive blade badges have origins in the "Shou" symbol, which extends a wish of longevity and happiness to its proud owner.
